Sean RoosenSean Roosen

Chair of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Sean Roosen is the Chair of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Roosen was a founding member of Osisko Mining Corporation (2003) and of EurAsia Holding AG, a European venture capital fund. Mr. Roosen has over 30 years of progressive experience in the mining industry. As founder, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Osisko Mining Corporation, he was responsible for developing the strategic plan for the discovery, financing and development of the Canadian Malartic Mine. He also led the efforts for the maximization of shareholders’ value in the sale of Osisko Mining Corporation, which resulted in the creation of Osisko. Mr. Roosen is an active participant in the resource sector and in the formation of new companies to explore for mineral deposits both in Canada and internationally. He serves on the board of directors of Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd., Falco Resources Ltd. (“Falco Resources”) and Osisko Mining, as a representative of Osisko in investee companies.

Mr. Roosen has been recognized by several organizations for his entrepreneurial successes and his leadership in innovative sustainability practices.

Mr. Roosen is a graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines.


Bryan A. CoatesBryan A. Coates, CPA, CA, ICD.D


Bryan A. Coates has been President of Osisko since June 2014. From 2007 to 2014, he was the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Osisko Mining Corporation. Mr. Coates was responsible for all activities related to financing, financial reporting, marketing relating to the gold industry, risk management and government relations. Mr. Coates has more than 30 years of progressive experience within the international and Canadian mining industry. Before joining Osisko, he was Chief Financial Officer of Iamgold (2006-2007), Cambior Inc. (2001-2006), and Cia Minera Antamina (1998-2001). Mr. Coates is a member of the Board of Directors of Alio Gold Inc., Falco Resources Ltd, Golden Queen Mining Co. Ltd. and Technosub. Mr. Coates holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.


Elif LévesqueElif Lévesque, CPA, CGA, MBA

Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Finance

Elif Lévesque is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Finance of Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd since June 2014. Prior to this, Ms. Lévesque was Vice president and Controller of Osisko Mining Corporation and has contributed to the finance function at Osisko since 2008. Ms. Lévesque has 15 years of experience with leading Canadian intermediate gold producers (Cambior Inc. 2002-2006 and Iamgold Corporation 2006-2008). Ms. Lévesque is a director of TerraX Minerals Inc. and the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association. She is a member of the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agréés du Québec and holds an MBA from Clark University, Massachusetts, USA.


Luc LessardLuc Lessard, Eng.

Senior Vice-President, Technical Services

Luc Lessard is a mining engineer with more than 25 years of experience designing, building and operating mines. He was previously Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian Malartic Partnership (owned jointly by Agnico Eagle and Yamana), and prior to that was the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Osisko Mining Corporation where he was responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the world class Canadian Malartic gold mine. During his career, Mr. Lessard has worked on 11 open pit and underground mine builds and prior to Osisko, Mr. Lessard was Vice President of Engineering and Construction for IAMGOLD and General Manager, Projects for Cambior Inc. Mr. Lessard sits on the Board of Directors of the following publicly listed companies – Timmins Gold Corp., Nighthawk Gold Corp., Highland Copper Company Inc., Falco Resources Ltd. and Bowmore Exploration Ltd.


André Le BelAndré Le Bel, LL.B., B.Sc.A.

Vice President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary

André Le Bel has been appointed as Vice President of Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary of Osisko on February 17, 2015. From November 2007 to June 2014, Mr. Le Bel was Vice-President of Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary of Osisko Mining Corporation. Mr. Le Bel was Vice President Legal affairs with IAMGOLD Corporation from November 2006 to October 2007 and before November 2006, Mr. Le Bel was Senior Legal Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary of Cambior Inc. Mr. Le Bel is also a director and a member of the audit committee of RedQuest Capital Corp., a capital pool company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. He is also a director of Ressources Komet inc. and Corporate Secretary of Falco Resources Ltd. He was also a director of Threegold Resources Inc. from May 2011 to June 2013.


Joseph de la PlanteJoseph de la Plante

Vice President, Corporate Development

Joseph de la Plante has been Vice President, Corporate Development of Osisko since June 2014. Prior to this, Mr. de la Plante held the position of Senior Advisor, Investment and Corporate Development of Old Osisko since November 2010, where he played a key role in the company’s investor relations and corporate development efforts, including certain aspects of the company’s long-term financial planning. Before joining Osisko in 2010, he was an Analyst in BMO Capital Markets’ Global Metals & Mining Investment Banking Group in Toronto, where he worked in an advisory role on merger and acquisition mandates as well as equity and debt offerings for various producing and development stage gold companies. Mr. de la Plante holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.


Frédéric RuelFrédéric Ruel

Vice President, Corporate Controller

Frédéric Ruel has over 15 years of experience in financial reporting and has been involved in the mining industry for over 10 years. Prior to joining Osisko, he held the position of Director, Corporate Reporting for Canadian Malartic Partnership, Osisko Mining Corporation and Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines. Frédéric began his career as an auditor in a premier Canadian accounting firm where he worked for 7 years. He is a member of the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agréés du Québec and holds a Master in Accounting from the Université de Sherbrooke. Frédéric is also involved with other public companies in the mining industry.


Michael SpencerMichael Spencer

Managing Director, Osisko Bermuda Limited

Michael joined Osisko Bermuda Limited as Managing Director in 2017. Prior to Osisko, Michael spent over seven years in mining focused investment banking where he advised on a wide array of M&A advisory and financing transactions representing over $10 billion in value. Prior to investment banking, Michael worked for an independent consulting firm advising medium to large cap corporations on a variety of executive compensation and corporate governance related matters. Michael obtained an Honours Business Administration degree with distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.


François VézinaFrançois Vézina, P.Eng., MBA

Vice president, technical services

François Vézina is a Mining Engineer with over 17 years of experience in mining and has extensive experience in open pit and underground operations in Canada, Mexico and Finland.

Mr. Vézina was Technical Service Manager for Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited and was responsible for overseeing the completion of the feasibility studies of LaRonde II, Pinos Altos and Kittilä. Mr. Vézina participated in the construction and commissioning of Pinos Altos as Mine Development Manager and Kittilä as Mine Operations Manager before joining OMC and participating as Mine Manager in the construction of the Canadian Malartic Mine. He served for over 5 years as Mine Operations Manager at the Canadian Malartic mine. Mr. Vézina is a specialist in mine operation optimization and is recognized for innovative mining techniques and optimization of feasibility studies.

Mr. Vézina holds a Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering and a Master in Business Administration (MBA). He is a registered Engineer (Eng.) in Quebec and (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
