Honorary Doctorate for the founder of Osisko, Mr Robert Wares

In the spring of 2012, achievements and contributions to the field of geology by Osisko’s founder, Mr. Robert Wares, were recognized with an honorary Doctorate from McGill University, his alma mater.  Quintessential scholar/entrepreneur and visionary geologist, his work led directly to the initial acquisition of the project, and his guiding hand on exploration led to the ultimate discovery of over 13 million ounces of gold, truly a feat accomplished by few explorationists in the sum of their careers.

Malartic Chamber of Commerce “Comble du Comble” Award for Company of the year

On April 21, 2012, Malartic Chamber of Commerce awarded Osisko with the « Comble du Comble » Award. This distinction recognizes Osisko’s influence on the Malartic economy.
